YEAR

1924

Beginning.

SCAW started its operations in Johannesburg.  SCAW then produced Steel Ceilings and Aluminium Window Frames.

YEAR

1956

Growth.

Scaw continues to grow and becomes a leader in the manufacture of cast steel bogies for the railways of Southern Africa.

YEAR

1939

Move.

Scaw moves to its present
49-hectare site at Union Junction, Germiston.
